What is a Tango Superboost?
Superboosts are our ATSE-exclusive, intensive workshop afternoons for those who wish to develop their tango beyond their regular classes. They are designed to revitalise your tango by sparking interest in new things and boosting confidence in your current dancing.
Each Superboost takes a different theme, but all aim to give your tango a superboost by giving you a chance to try something new, look at something afresh, consolidate and refine your current tango, or take your dancing to the next level. They tend to focus on new or neglected aspects of tango or topics which need close attention.

Whom are Superboosts for?
Superboosts are designed for experienced improvers, intermediates and above, though we can adapt the material to cater for greatest demand. Definitions of 'improver', 'intermediate', etc, are given here.
Can non-ATSE tango students participate?
Yes; we have hosted a number of guest students from the UK and beyond. Suitably experienced tango students from elsewhere are welcome, though priority booking is given to ATSE members. If you know someone from outside ATSE who would like to attend, please encourage them to contact us asap.
Where, when and how much?
Superboosts generally run on Sunday afternoons in our usual Canterbury venue (Lower Hardres), approximately once a term.
Each Superboost comprises approx. 3 hours of carefully structured, progressive workshops which focus on a particular aspect, area or style of tango. There are scheduled breaks for rest/practice throughout the afternoon, so the total running time is approximately 4 hours.
Booking your place
You must book and pay for your Superboost place in advance. We aim to ensure equal and limited numbers of leaders and followers. For this reason we strongly recommend that you sign up asap if you are signing up on your own (as a single leader or follower).
We will prioritise our most regular students as much as possible when allocating places on Superboosts.
