Tango into Summer 2018 with us!
Look forward to the coming of summer by dancing tango with us and all our regulars in weekly classes, special courses and private lessons.
Newcomers to ATSE are very welcome to join us in 2018: we run weekly classes at all levels.
Just browse our site for more info, read about learning tango with us, and contact us with any questions, or to book your place.
We look forward to sharing (more) tango with you!
New to tango? New to ATSE? Join us...
Our current 'beginners' group is now an established, 'recent beginners' group, for those with a good foundation in basic tango. Newcomers with some knowledge of tango are welcome to join this class - just click here for info and contact us to book.
This class isn't suitable for complete novices, but you can still learn tango with us. Book a private lesson to begin your tango journey: for info click here.
We look forward to meeting you!
Give the gift of tango to someone special
Trying to find that perfect, thoughtful gift for someone special? Or an unusual present for someone who enjoys something a little different? How about one of our gift vouchers? Usually people buy vouchers for private lessons, but you can buy any denomination to be put towards any of our classes or events. Click here for further info.
Tango Plus April-May 2018: Drawing circles
The theme for Tango Plus in late Summer (June/July) 2018 is 'Drawing circles: enrosques & circular boleos'.
Full details can be found here. This supplementary courses is for regular students at intermediate level and above. We need equal numbers of leaders and followers for these sessions. Therefore we recommend you book asap to guarantee your place: please contact us.
Your place is not guaranteed until we've accepted your full payment in advance. We will run a waiting list in the case of unequal numbers of leaders/followers.
All the tango in the world...
Are you familiar with all the varied forms of authentic, 21st-century tango? Take a look at the new menu 'About tango', which gives you lots of information about different styles of tango, from milonguero to nuevo, salon to vals & milonga. We hope you find this helpful.
Also, we have updated our Tango lexicon (under 'Learning tango') - a crucial resource which lists all the terms in common usage in our tango classes. Let us know if we've left any out!
Want to save money on private tuition?
Why not put together a small group? We offer private tuition to small groups, usually at just £25 per person per hour (min. 6 people, max. 12) - half the price of private tuition. These private groups meet every few weeks, on Saturdays, usually for two hours.
Private groups must have equal numbers of leaders and followers at approximately the same level.
If this interests you, why not speak to like-minded fellow ATSE students, and begin to form a group? If you don't know enough other people to form a group, let us know you're interested, and we'll add your name to our waiting list; as soon as we have sufficient numbers, we'll let you all know, and arrange an initial session.
We look forward to hearing from you!
